This fascinating cookbook features recipes and culinary history from the 18th and early 19th centuries. Adapted from the PBS TV show, host Walter Staub is also the owner and head chef at City Tavern in Philadelphia.

Photographer Hank O’Neal is best known for his portraits, but along the way he shot one of the best, most comprehensive archives of street art in New York City (and elsewhere). O’Neal also worked for the CIA prior to becoming a photographer, and thus a persona was born.

I was already fan of the Mütter Museum when I art directed and designed this collection of creepily brilliant short stories by Mütter curator K. R. Sands, based on 13 of the museum’s exhibits. Illustrator Jon Lezinsky was a dream collaborator who seemed to understand the material in his… bones.

A cookbook for a revival of a classic New York institution, an insightful collection of essays on post-punk, a tour of the legendary Grand Hotel, a photo history of society debutantes, a memoir about the search for an Amazon explorer, a photo essay of rock music fans, a photo essay of stray cats, a literary survey of the awful way we talk to each other, and an epic trip across the United States by road and air… Some projects are more memorable than others, but I’m rarely bored.
